Marvel's Wolverine leaks surface as FF7's future expands beyond the trilogy

Marvel's Wolverine is already losing its secrets before launch — the game's ending has leaked online, with Insomniac's release apparently close enough that footage is circulating. Around the same game, character design details are drawing attention: Wolverine PS5's Lady Deathstrike has sparked confusion among fans over her resemblance to Psylocke.

Square Enix used the moment to signal bigger ambitions for the Final Fantasy 7 universe, with the company saying it wants to turn the IP into one with an ever-evolving future beyond the Remake trilogy. The developers of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation also weighed in on their own project, asking players to come to its ending fresh rather than have it explained by someone else. Separately, Atlus revealed that after Persona 3 Reload, the studio put all its effort into a full remake of Persona 4 Golden, applying lessons learned from that project.
